Now in the series of OBIEE11g installation I am going to discuss the second scenario
Enterprise Deployment for Hosted Development and Production
According to oracle documentation the “Enterprise Deployment for Hosted Development and Production” is sub divide in to two parts:
1)Installing a Single, Scaled-out Oracle Business Intelligence Instance on Multiple Computers
To achieve this installation scenario install the OBIEE with Enterprise Install using the New BI System option on one computer. And perform another Enterprise Install, but this time with the Scale out BI System option
2)Installing Multiple, Standalone Oracle Business Intelligence Instances on a Single Computer
To achieve this installation scenario install the OBIEE on system with either a Simple Install or an Enterprise Install with the New BI System option and the Install Oracle WebLogic Server first and then perform a Software Only Install of Oracle Business Intelligence. Afterward, use the Configuration Assistant multiple times (or once for each instance) to configure each instance in the same, or shared, Middleware home
If you want to set environment of Enterprise Deployment for Hosted Development and Production you should know the following thinks
1) OBIEE Enterprise Install with NEW BI SYSTEM option
2) OBIEE Enterprise Install with SCALE OUT OPTION
3) OBIEE SOFTWARE ONLY installs
